I’m going to be honest and say that I’m pretty behind the times and I’ve only just discovered podcasts. That’s not to say that I didn’t know that they existed, it’s just that I’d never really listened to many. 6 or 7 months ago I found a couple that were great and since then I’ve been consuming more and more podcasts and finding that they’re a great source of inspiration. I thought I would share a few of my favourites with you. Hopefully, you can get some value from them just like I have.
Creative Rebels
This is a podcast run by David Speed and Adam Brazier. Both creatives who are on a mission to help inspire creative entrepreneurs. With a whole range of interesting guests and bonus episodes, this podcast is filled with inspiring content about moving forward and making your mark in the creative world no matter what field that might be.
This is top of the list at the moment. I have found it so inspiring and if you are creative in any way I highly recommend these guys! They’re full of positivity and it’s definitely infectious… in a good way!
The Chase Jarvis Live Show
This is the podcast that I have been listening to for the longest. I have followed Chase for years and originally came across his photography work. I’m not sure he shoots so much anymore but his photography work was awesome. Chase is also the founder of Creative Live which is an online learning platform, he has a huge Youtube channel which I also recommend you check out and also a great podcast too.
Chase Jarvis LIVE in their own words is ‘a place where thought leaders & creative minds came together online to share ideas, conversation, and performance.’ The guests are so diverse and I always manage to take something beneficial from each one I listen to.

Dear Art Producer
A podcast from American photography agent, Heather Elder. Heather reps some incredible photographers including Tim Tadder and has a great blog where you can find the links to the podcast.
Dear Art producer is a podcast that connects the photography and video community with art producers. Heather talks to art producers and talks about the finer details of working alongside one another. Although this is an American podcast, the content is definitely helpful in seeing some of the stuff that goes on in agencies behind the scenes that photographers perhaps wouldn’t ever think about.
If you are in the commercial photography or work in the advertising world this is a really interesting listen. Most of the guests she has on are commissioning large scale work for well known agencies and brands including Nike, Apple, Starbucks etc.
The Accidental Creative
I found this podcast through Chase Jarvis. Founded by Todd Henry this podcast gives loads of useful advice and motivation on all thing creative. Everything from finding your creative calling to simple principles to achieving your goals. I dip into this one but there is also a daily podcast attached to this called the Daily Creative which is a little shorter and really quick to digest.

And finally…
My Dad Wrote a Porno
This one is probably not going to enrich your life intellectually in any way but it’s ridiculous and very funny and that’s always good for the soul. I’m all for continued learning but sometimes you just need some laughter in your life.
So how do I explain this better than the pretty self-explanatory podcast title… I will let the creators do it instead…
‘Imagine if your Dad wrote a dirty book. Most people would try to ignore it - but not Jamie Morton. Instead, he decided to read it to the world in this groundbreaking comedy podcast. With the help of his best mates, James Cooper and Alice Levine, Jamie reads a chapter a week and discovers more about his father than he ever bargained for.’
If you have kids this one probably isn’t one to listen to around them! Just a word of warning haha!
Be mindful of the things that you put into your body emotionally, spiritually and physically!
With that being said I hope that you have taken some value from all this and I’d love to hear any podcasts that you recommend or what you think of some of the ones that I have suggested. As ever get in touch if there are any topics that you would like to hear more about on the blog.
Thanks for reading!
