So last week I reached my major milestone of blogging for a whole year! That’s right one blog a week for a year! It’s not as easy as you might think! I’m still pretty happy I managed to do it though and there’s now plenty of blog posts for you to check out on the website too. Anyway, I thought I’d have a little break for a few weeks from the blog but as I said in the previous post, the blog has opened some new doors and led to some really interesting stuff!
I’ve postponed the blogging break as I thought some of you right be interested in this… someone let me on their podcast! I know what your thinking, they must be mad but yes, my good friend, Gurdas Singh (The Breakfast Club - https://www.mattwilsonphoto.co.uk/cnl-blog/2020/2/22/creative-nowhere-land-blog-have-a-good-breakfast) invited me on to his new podcast, Brand is Strong a week or so ago and, now it’s out there in the world, I thought I would include the link for you lovely lot to have a listen if you’re interested!
Gurdas and I spoke for ages about a whole host of things! Be a creative, imposter syndrome, comparison culture, advertising, photography, Zoom, networking, Gymshark and their latest #sweatyselfie campaign, Creative Nowhere Land and the list goes on. We spoke for a long time so we managed to talk about a lot of stuff!
I’ve included a couple of snippets that Gurdas was kind enough to send over to me to use for the blog and to share the word about his new podcast. Follow the links below to listen to the whole thing!

Being on a podcast was a new one for me and something I really enjoyed! Whether I said anything of value is a different matter entirely and I’ll leave that up to you to decide if you give it a listen. It’s also dangerous to do a podcast with your mate! I found I didn’t have much of a filter so if it gets a bit ‘ranty’ then please forgive me haha! I’m not going to lie it was a little bizarre listening to it back too! I don’t think anyone likes the sound of their own voice when they hear it back and I am no exception, it’s weird! It took me about an hour of listening to it to deal with the sound of mine haha! But I got over it and really enjoyed the whole experience.
A massive thank you to Gurdas for inviting me on the podcast and getting me ranting. Please give it a listen and if you enjoy it and find any value from it give it a like or subscribe. If you don’t and you think I sound like an idiot with a stupid voice then please feel free to keep that to yourself haha!
